What it saves
The whole server, in one backup.
Structure
Categories, text and voice channels, topics, positions, and every permission overwrite.
Roles
Names, colours, permissions, hoisting and order. Bot-managed roles are skipped.
Messages
Up to 1,000 per channel — text, embeds, and attachment links. Restored through webhooks under each author's name and avatar.
Emojis
Custom emojis are recreated first, and emoji references in restored messages are updated to point at the new ones.
Bans
The ban list, with reasons. Applied again at the end of a restore that loads roles — useful when you're rebuilding after a raid.

Server name, icon and verification level.

Restores exactly what you pick.
Before a restore starts, you choose what Vault does: delete existing roles, delete existing channels, load roles, load channels, load server settings. Everything is selected by default for a full rebuild. Deselect anything you want left alone. Loading roles also re-applies bans, and loading channels also recreates emojis and the messages that use them. You confirm before it starts, and Vault DMs you when it's done.

Schedule
Backups that happen without you.
Turn on daily or weekly backups with one command. Vault checks every half hour, runs whatever is due, and posts the result in a channel you choose — or stays silent.

Add Vault
It asks for Administrator, because reading and rebuilding roles, permissions and settings isn't possible with less.

Run
/backup createName it, optionally skip some channels' messages or all emojis, and press Start. You get an ID back.

/backup loadPaste the ID in this server or another one, pick what to load, and confirm. Vault DMs you when it's finished.

Questions
Before you add it.
Can I load a backup into a different server?
Yes. Run /backup create in one server and /backup load id: in the other. Permissions for @everyone and custom emoji references are remapped to the new server.
Does loading wipe my server?
Only if you choose that. By default a restore deletes existing channels and roles and rebuilds everything from the backup, but you can deselect Delete Roles or Delete Channels to keep what's there and add the backup's on top, or load just the parts you need. If you might want to go back, run /backup create first.
Why does it need Administrator?
Recreating roles, channel permissions and server settings requires it. Vault uses that access only to back up and restore.
My server has hundreds of emojis. Will restoring hang?
No. Discord limits how fast emojis can be created, so Vault gives that step at most three minutes and then moves on with channels and messages. You can also skip emojis when creating the backup.
Are old backups deleted?
Each server keeps its 10 newest backups. Creating an eleventh removes the oldest, and Vault tells you when it does.
